Centenary of the birth of Salvador Dalí
Introduction
The year 2004 commemorates the centenary of the birth of the great painter Salvador Dalí who was born in Figueras in 1904. His very personal style transcended artistic movements such as cubism and surrealism, to become what he himself defined as the paranoid-critical approach.
With the issue of this set of collector coins in gold and silver the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre-Real Casa de la Moneda pays him a special tribute.
Details
Magnificently minted in proof quality, the coins replicate some of the most distinctive works of this brilliant artist. The five coins are presented in blister packs (to keep the engraving and the luster in perfect condition) inserted into a stylish jewel case. All of the coins come with a certificate of authenticity issued by the FNMT-RCM.
The coins are presented either singly, as a silver set composed of the Cincuentin and the three 8-real coins, or as a complete set composed of all five coins.
