5th Centenary of Isabella I of Castile - 12 Euros
Introduction
November 26, 2004 marked the five hundredth anniversary of the death of Isabella I of Castile, better known as Isabella the Catholic, one of the most influential sovereigns in the history of Spain.
To commemorate this anniversary a 12€ coin has been approved, minted and released.

Details
The obverse of this coin, minted of sterling silver, displays the overlapping profiles of Their Majesties King Juan Carlos and Queen Sofia. The reverse shows a bust of Isabella I of Castile in profile, together with her anagram, the crowned "Y".
