Expo Shanghai

Introduction

Estuche Shanghái

The Shanghai World Exposition will be held in 2010. The slogan that has been chosen for the Expo is "Better city, better life".

To mark the occasion and in support of Shanghai 2010 the Spanish Royal Mint has struck a collector coin whose texts and motifs, based on the Spanish pavilion, are dedicated to the commemoration of this event.

The design of the Spanish pavilion is inspired by wickerwork, a craft technique that has roots both in Spain and in China. The walk around is made up of three spaces that have been given the following captions: "From nature to city", "From the city of our fathers to the city of today", and "From the city of today to the city of our children".
