To pay homage to the buildings and places listed on the UNESCO World Heritage register, Spain releases a 2-euro commemorative coin every year. Inclusion in this register means that the assets are safeguarded and will be preserved.
The 2012 coin release in this series is dedicated to Burgos Cathedral.
The sixth 2-Euro commemorative coin is released in 2012, this time dedicated to Burgos Cathedral, one of the most beautiful monuments of Gothic-style art, which was awarded the Heritage of Mankind endorsement in 1984.
The reverse portrays a rendering of Burgos Cathedral. This is the third coin in the annual series dedicated to the UNESCO-listed World Heritage sites in Spain.
This proof quality coin comes in a stylish coin case marked with its edition number. The edition for this coins will be limited to 10,000 units.
