Euro Coinage 2013 - uncirculated

Introduction

This release includes the Spanish euro coin set for 2013, presented as a limited edition in a handy numbered coin case that protects the coins while at the same time allowing a perfect view of both sides.

This set includes a 2-euro commemorative coin. Continuing the practice initiated in 2010 of dedicating the 2-euro commemoratives to buildings or places on the UNESCO World Heritage Sites List, in order of their registration date, this year's theme corresponds to the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial.

Details

The maximum mint run of this Euro set containing coins minted in 2013 is 25,000 units.

2-Euro commemorative coin - Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial

In 2013 the 2-euro commemorative coin will be dedicated to the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial.

The obverse presents an image, centrally placed on the coin, of the Royal Monastery of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, a historic site administered by the Patrimonio Nacional (Spain's National Trust for Historic Preservation).

This is now the fourth coin in the annual series dedicated to UNESCO-listed World Heritage sites in Spain.
