Euro Coinage 2008 - Aut. Communities
This limited edition release includes the set of Spanish Euro coins for 2008 encased in a practical, numbered blister pack that protects the coins while at the same time enabling both sides of the coins to be viewed in their entirety.
With this issue the Royal Spanish Mint launches a special series in which each set is dedicated to one of Spain's Autonomous Communities. On sale this year are the collector models dedicated to Andalusia and Aragon, each set containing a medal depicting the coat-of-arms of one Community.
Details
For this edition the coin case with the uncirculated Euro coins includes a medal in sterling silver with either the Andalusian coat-of-arms or the traditional coat-of-arms of Aragon.
The maximum mint run for this Euroset of coins minted in 2008 is 20,000 units for each.

Andalusian Silver medal
This sterling silver medal is dedicated to Andalusia, famed not only for being Spain's most populated Community but also for its cathedrals, fortresses and cities abounding in monuments.
The obverse portrays the coat-of-arms composed of the figure of Hercules taming two lions, the design enclosed by a semicircular arch.
The reverse shows the crowned letter "M", the mint mark of the Royal Spanish Mint.
Aragonese Silver Medal
This sterling silver medal is dedicated to Aragon, renowned for events crucial to both Spain and the whole of Europe, in addition to its producing important politicians, scientists, philosophers and artists embodying a rich and universal culture.
The obverse depicts the traditional coat of arms displaying the four quarters.
The reverse shows the crowned letter "M", the mint mark of the Royal Spanish Mint.
