2nd issue - Royal Sites

Introduction

The second collector coin series entitled «Patrimonio Nacional» ("National Heritage") was released in 2014. Like the first series, it is composed of six coins and is dedicated to the following historic, cultural and natural sites under the management of the Patrimonio Nacional (Spain's National Trust for Historic Preservation): the Royal Monastery of Santa Clara de Tordesillas, the Royal Palace of Madrid, the Royal Site of Aranjuez, the Monastery of Yuste, the Royal Palace of Riofrío and the Royal Site of El Pardo.

Madrid Royal Palace - 4 reales silver

The obverse (common to all six coins) features the Royal Crown with accompanying legends ESPAÑA 2014 and PATRIMONIO NACIONAL.

The reverse of the second coin replicates a view of the Madrid Royal Palace as seen from the Campo del Moro gardens.

Royal Site of Aranjuez –4 reales silver

The obverse (common to all six coins) features the Royal Crown with accompanying legends ESPAÑA 2014 and PATRIMONIO NACIONAL.

The reverse of the third coin depicts the main façade of the Royal Palace at Aranjuez, part of the Royal Site of Aranjuez, located in the municipality of Aranjuez (Madrid).

Monastery of Yuste –4 reales silver

The obverse (common to all six coins) features the Royal Crown with accompanying legends ESPAÑA 2014 and PATRIMONIO NACIONAL.

The reverse of the fourth coin depicts the Monastery of Yuste, located in the municipality of Cuacos de Yuste (Caceres).

Royal Palace of Riofrío –4 reales silver

The obverse (common to all six coins) features the Royal Crown with accompanying legends ESPAÑA 2014 and PATRIMONIO NACIONAL.

The reverse of the fifth coin depicts the Royal Palace of Riofrío, located in the municipality of Navas de Riofrío (Segovia).

Royal Site of El Pardo –4 reales silver

The obverse (common to all six coins) features the Royal Crown with accompanying legends ESPAÑA 2014 and PATRIMONIO NACIONAL.

The reverse of the sixth coin depicts the principal façade of the Palace of El Pardo, which forms part of the Royal Site of El Pardo, located in the Monte del Pardo (Madrid).
