The Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre-Real Casa de la Moneda commemorates the 35th Anniversary of the European Community Action Scheme for the Mobility of Students, or better known as the Erasmus Programme (acronym of the official name of the European Region Action Scheme for the Mobility of University Students). This European programme promotes educational mobility of students, as well as cooperation, quality, inclusion, equity, excellence, creativity and innovation through lifelong learning, educational, professional and personal development of individuals in the fields of education and training, youth and sport, within Europe.
The obverse of the coin shows the image of the portrait of Erasmus of Rotterdam on a bundle of links that crosses the central background to form the number 35. The common reverse of the coin shows the numeral representing its value, together with six vertical lines superimposed with 12 stars. On the right-hand side is also a representation of the European continent.
This blister, with a maximum mintage of 5,000 pieces, presents the coin in a protective capsule, but which, at the same time, allows both sides of the coin to be observed.
