4th Centenary “Don Quixote, Part Two”

Introduction

The F.N.M.T. - R.C.M. has minted a commemorative collector coin set to mark the 4th Centenary of the publication of "The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha, Part Two" penned by Miguel de Cervantes.

The first part, entitled "The Ingenious Nobleman Don Quixote of La Mancha", published at the beginning of 1605, ranks as the most exceptional novel in the entire literary canon of Spain, and indeed of the world, and furthermore it rates as the most published and translated manuscript in history with the exception of the Bible.

The second part of this literary work made its appearance in 1615 under the title "The Ingenious Gentleman Don Quixote of La Mancha, Part Two".
