European Champions 2008
Introduction
In June 2008 the Spanish Line-up was pronounced the champion of the European UEFA Football Cup after winning the finals contested in Vienna. Spain had not been recorded on the champion's list since 1964.
To commemorate this victory of Spain's Supreme Football Team the Spanish Royal Mint has struck a new set composed of one coin in sterling silver and one in .999 gold.

The obverse of the sterling silver coin portrays the effigy of H.M. King Juan Carlos I.
The reverse reproduces in the center the figure of a goalkeeper in the act of saving the ball.
