SDG Progress

 

At FNMT we want our commitment to contribute to the Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals to be not only a priority in our corporate strategy, but also progressive, through the evolution of our annual goals and objectives as a Public Business Entity.

o this end, and in addition to the progress we will make in each SDG, through the actions of the Business Plan we will focus mainly on promoting the Environmental and Sustainability Policy in all phases of our production process. 

Thus, in line with the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan, we want to make a special contribution to all the SDGs related to sustainable prosperity, for a more socially and environmentally responsible world.

See below our future commitments for the following SDGs:

  • Reduction targets 2023: -15% water consumption, -8% electricity consumption and -6% chemicals
  • New Energy Saving and Efficiency Measures Plan
  • Annual sustainable water management plan and installation of 100% water saving devices
  • Promotion of the Sustainability Committee to align the SDGs and the Business Plan, with greater presence of the production departments
  • Environmental policy, incorporation of environmental clauses in procurement processes, acquisition of sustainable products and environmental optimisation of industrial processes
  • Annual environmental training plan for all staff, including senior management, especially in the production departments in Madrid and Burgos
  • Installation of photovoltaic panels on the building in Jorge Juan street and reduction of fossil fuels in transport
  • Improvement of waste separation circuit and single use of recycled paper in printers
  • Creation of a new data panel for emissions, dumping, waste, electricity and water to measure impact and reduction targets, and establish a system for reporting information to Safety and Environment Departments
  • Continuation and promotion of the Agenda 2030 Project and SDGs to contribute to the Global Partnership
  • Participation and communication SDG 2024: Campaign aimed at 1,193 employees
