World Champions South Africa 2010

Introduction

Spain's football team was proclaimed shining World Champion in the all-nations tournament held this year in South Africa.

To commemorate this great success for Spanish sports, the Spanish Royal Mint has minted a new coin set entitled "World Champions South Africa 2010" composed of two coins, one of .999 gold and the other of sterling silver.

Details

Minted in Proof quality, these collector coins come in stylish jewel cases. They can be purchased singly, each coin in its own presentation case, or as a set, both coins displayed together in the same case.

The reverse of this coin features the hands of a goalkeeper reaching to stop the ball, which is depicted as the earth's globe.

The obverse portrays the likeness of His Majesty King Juan Carlos.

The reverse of this coin reproduces the image of a football player in the act of running. Beneath this, two football balls, each one showing the outline of a different world continent.
