To mark the celebration of the 250th Anniversary of the Royal School of Artillery based in Segovia, the Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre-Real Casa de la Moneda issued a commemorative collector coin which bears legends and motifs dedicated to this emblematic institution and to the building that gave it shelter.

The obverse portrays the coat of arms of the Academy of Artillery, the successor to the Royal School of Artillery. Ornate letters "A" in reference to the words "Academia" and "Artillería" flank the coat of arms. At the top of the coin the legend ESPAÑA. At bottom, between two artillery-related implements, the mint year 2014.
On the reverse, the foreground image shows El Triunfo (the Triumph) a sculpture that decorates the facade of the barracks at the former Convent of San Francisco. To the rear is a view of the Alcázar (Citadel) at Segovia, and to the right the logotype of the 250th Anniversary of the Royal School of Artillery.
