Third Series of Heritage of Mankind Cities

Introduction

The second series of collector coins entitled «Spain's Heritage of Mankind Cities» will continue in 2015.

The first issue was dedicated to the cities of Alcala de Henares, Avila, Baeza, Caceres and Cordoba.

The second set was dedicated to the cities of Cuenca, Ibiza, Merida, Salamanca and San Cristobal de La Laguna.

The third set is dedicated to the cities of Santiago de Compostela, Segovia, Tarragona, Toledo y Úbeda.

All of these sites are registered on the World Heritage List.

Details

This third series launches five sterling silver coins minted to proof quality, encapsulated and inserted into stylish jewel cases.

The coins are accompanied by a certificate of authenticity issued by the FNMT-RCM.

The obverse (common to all five coins) reproduces the UNESCO logo accompanied on the right by the official emblem of the World Heritage Convention.

The reverse depicts the main façade of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela.

4 reales - Segovia

The obverse (common to all five coins) reproduces the UNESCO logo accompanied on the right by the official emblem of the World Heritage Convention.

The reverse features a view of the Roman aqueduct at Segovia.

4 reales - Tarragona

The obverse (common to all five coins) reproduces the UNESCO logo accompanied on the right by the official emblem of the World Heritage Convention.

The reverse is illustrated with a view of the Roman amphitheater at Tarragona.

4 reales - Toledo

The obverse (common to all five coins) reproduces the UNESCO logo accompanied on the right by the official emblem of the World Heritage Convention.

The reverse shows a view of the city of Toledo.

4 reales - Úbeda

The obverse (common to all five coins) reproduces the UNESCO logo accompanied on the right by the official emblem of the World Heritage Convention.

The reverse features the main facade of the Chapel of El Salvador in Úbeda.
