Description

The Treaty on European Union, also known as the Maastricht Treaty, was signed on 7 February 1992. On the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the firm, Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre-Real Casa de la Moneda issues a coin struck in sterling silver with a face value of €30.

The coin is presented in a stylish coin case that protects and at the same time allows a perfectly clear view of both faces of it.

The obverse portrays the overlapping effigies of Their Majesties Don Felipe and Doña Letizia.

On the reverse, occupying the central part, it is displayed an artistic composition that represents the Treaty of the European Union by means of a flag in the form of paper and a pen in the signing ceremony; above all this, the 12 stars of the European Union.
