FNMT-RCM, an inimitable company

The Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre was created in 1893 from the merging of two age-old organizations, namely the Casa de la Moneda (The Mint) and the Fábrica del Sello (The Stamp Factory). These two entities, even though they were self-determining and under different managements, had been sharing the building in the Plaza de Colón since 1861. From that time forward, with security as the common thread, their scope of activity has never stopped expanding.

Graphics Products

Among other graphic products, the FNMT-RCM manufactures a wide range of products related to games of chance, as well as postage stamps, security labels.

Identification documents

The FNMT-RCM is responsible for the manufacture of fundamental documents in the life of the citizen that guarantee their identity and recognize their abilities and rights.

Circulating currency

The manufacture of metallic coins (both circulating and collectible) constitutes one of the most important production lines of the FNMT-RCM.

Security Paper

The FNMT-RCM in its factory in Burgos has been producing papers of the highest quality for more than 50 years capable of satisfying the most demanding clients in the national and international sphere.

Prepress

The FNMT-RCM offers, through its Prepress Department, the design and origination service, the integration of security measures, the engraving, the manufacture and destruction of plates.
